Slightly Indulgent Tuesday 12/29/09
December 28, 2009 { }
It’s the ‘nearly 2010 edition’ of Slightly Indulgent Tuesday, celebrating fabulous food made healthier. I was thrilled to see so many participants last week in the midst of holiday hustle and bustle.
Winne from Healthy Green Kitchen shared her version of Real Hot Chocolate, which sounds great for cold winter nights. Chocolate Almond Wafers from Lauren’s kitchen also caught my eye – delightful slice and bake cookies gluten free style.
My Submission
Homemade almond milk is frugal, healthy, and delicious. There’s nothing processed in it, which I love. I posted a basic recipe, but there are so many different ways to create this nutty beverage. If you make almond milk, I’d love to hear your favorite variation.
When you link, please tell us who you are and what you’re cooking . For example, I would enter:

This is a lot of fun. I love reading people’s recipes and knowing they are light and healthy. When you ask to link back to this post, could you give me a quick primer? Did you mean link back on my post? I’m assuming so, but just wanted to be sure.
Thanks!

@Kristi Rimkus, So glad you joined in! Yes, linking from your post to this post is what that means. I’m in the car right now on the way to visit family but I can’t wait to see what everyone has made as soon as I can fire up my laptop.

Wow, great turnout! One should not link up after vacation happy hour. One might accidentally leave out the first letter in one’s name. LOL
Even though I’m in Key West, I’ve linked up the Double Chocolate Clementine Cake I made before I left. Gluten free, grain free, and dairy free, it’s a winner!

I had a lot of fun making these Coconut Macaroons. I am having a lot of fun with the food blog too. It is a feeble attempt on my part to share what I am discovering. Thank you for the opportunity. Blessings for the New Year!
